FEI finances landmark 10MW Captive Solar Plant for Mombasa Cement's Vipingo Facility

Cygnum Capital were delighted to attend the successful commissioning of the Mombasa Cement Ltd. (MCL) Vipingo Solar Plant, constructed by Equator Energy and financed through Cygnum Capital’s Facility for Energy Inclusion (FEI).

📍 Vipingo, Kilifi County
Capacity: 9.85 MWp(ground-mounted, grid-tied PV)
🔋 Annual Output: ~18million kWh of clean energy
🌱 Impact: Among the largest private off-taker solar projects in the region
